Tartu, located in Southern Estonia will be the European Capital of Culture in 2024 with the artistic concept Arts of Survival. We have selected eight filmmakers who will capture life in Southern Estonia, released spring of 2024. Stories in these films will reveal the people, both extraordinary and ordinary, and the places that are important for the existence of an area.
Arts of Survival Documentaries opens a traveling “Doc Box” which will arrive at locations in Southern Estonia associated with the films. The selected films will be introduced and the opportunity to participate in a raffle will take place, an Arts of Survival stay in the spring of 2024 at the island centering in Kairišs’s film, Piirissaar.
